Kurt is a builder at LOYL Construction, with a career that began in 1994 later obtaining his builders license in 2005. He customizes each home to meet his clients' specific needs, driven by a lifelong passion for building that started when he was a child.
Inspired by his parents' home construction in Ada Michigan at age 13, he often repurposed materials from scrap piles to create forts in the woods. Kurt thrives on job sites, helping clients envision their dream homes.
He cherishes time with his wife, Tina, their four daughters—Ayla, Ellie, Oakleigh, and Iva—and their two dogs, Mollie and Pete. At LOYL, he works alongside his sons, Kurt Jr. and Cody.
Additionally, Kurt loves discussing boating and flying. He contributes to the community through Kent Skills in the Applied Construction Department and on the HBA foundation board and enjoys developing the next generation of trades professionals.
