Every person you meet plays an important role in making your building experience organized, transparent, and enjoyable from your first conversation through move-in day.

Kurt Lang

Founder & President

Kurt founded LOYL Construction with a simple belief: the best builders listen before they build.

After beginning his career in construction in 1994 and earning his builder’s license in 2005, Kurt has spent decades helping families design and build custom homes that reflect the way they truly want to live. His passion for building started long before it became his career. As a teenager, he was already creating projects from leftover construction materials while watching his parents build their family home in Ada, Michigan.

Today, Kurt leads LOYL’s listening first approach, guiding homeowners through every stage of the design-build process while helping align their vision with their budget. He believes honesty, communication, and thoughtful guidance are what set a builder apart.

Outside of work, Kurt enjoys boating, flying, mentoring future trades professionals, and serving the community through Kent Skills and the HBA Foundation Board. He and his wife, Tina, have four daughters, Ayla, Ellie, Oakleigh, and Iva, two dogs, Mollie and Pete, and have the privilege of working alongside their sons, Kurt Jr. and Cody every day.
Brad Parisian

Chief Financial Officer

Brad oversees the financial operations and real estate side of LOYL Construction, helping ensure every project is built on a solid business foundation.

Throughout his career, Brad has helped launch and grow multiple businesses. His experience has reinforced one principle that continues to guide his work today: long term success is built on trust, clear communication, and exceptional customer service.

Brad and his wife, Megan, live in Grand Rapids with their two daughters. When he’s away from the office, you’ll likely find him enjoying family time, riding his bike, reading, volunteering, or hosting an impromptu dance party with his girls.
Tina Lang

Client Care Coordinator

Tina helps make every client’s building experience organized, informed, and enjoyable.

As LOYL’s Client Care Coordinator, she manages client communication, selections, Buildertrend updates, permitting coordination, and countless details that keep projects moving smoothly. Her goal is simple: make sure every homeowner knows what to expect and always feels supported throughout the process.

Outside of work, Tina enjoys spending time with Kurt, their daughters, and their dogs. She loves gardening, boating, walking, and being part of a family business that allows her to work alongside her husband and sons every day.
Kurt Lang Jr.

Administrative Director

Kurt Jr. oversees estimating and project preparation, ensuring every home begins with accurate planning.

He works closely with vendors and trade partners to create clear plans, accurate purchase orders, and organized documentation that helps projects run efficiently from day one.

When he’s not at work, you’ll usually find him with a cup of coffee roasted by his own hand. He also enjoys graphic design, digital and film photography, playing guitar, and serving at Woodhaven Church in Byron Center through worship, technology, and youth ministry.
Soren Holsclaw

Construction Manager

Soren manages the construction of assigned homes while helping homeowners enjoy a smooth building experience from start to finish.

He appreciates LOYL’s collaborative culture and believes strong teamwork creates better outcomes for clients. His commitment to learning, serving others, and building meaningful relationships is reflected in every project he manages.

Outside of work, Soren enjoys spending time with his wife Isabelle, playing drums, snowboarding, serving at church, and exploring new hobbies. His Christian faith continues to shape both his personal life and his work.
Seth Lerg

Construction Account Manager

Seth serves as a key connection between homeowners, trade partners, and the construction team, helping projects move forward with confidence and clear communication.

He enjoys solving challenges, supporting teammates, and creating peace of mind for homeowners throughout the building process. LOYL’s collaborative environment is one of the reasons he enjoys coming to work every day.

Away from work, Seth is a devoted husband and father of three sports loving kids. Much of his free time is spent at ball fields and tennis courts, with fishing, hunting, and golfing filling the rest of his weekends.
Cody Lang

Purchase Order Operations

Cody helps ensure every project has the right materials delivered to the right place at the right time.

He manages LOYL’s purchase order operations and works closely with vendors and trade professionals to keep projects moving efficiently and avoid unnecessary delays on site.

Outside of work, Cody enjoys spending time with his girlfriend Jessie, gardening, reading, discovering new music, and hosting board game nights with friends and family. Breakfast food is also one of his greatest passions.
Lisa Fernstrum

Accounts Payable & Receivable Specialist

Lisa oversees LOYL’s accounts payable and receivable, helping keep the financial side of every project organized and running smoothly.

Originally from Michigan and now living in North Carolina, Lisa brings reliability, attention to detail, and a caring attitude to every interaction.

Family is at the heart of her life. She’s a proud wife, mother of three, and grandmother of two. Outside of work, she enjoys walking, shopping, and spending time with friends and family.
